    This is a skilled trade facilities mechanic position. The preferred candidate is multi-disciplined, but an experienced maintenance electrician first. (Voltages up to 480) The successful candidate is responsible for properly maintaining all equipment to ensure that the fabrication processes are always operational in order to meet all safety, plant, and corporate objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide equipment maintenance support for all fabrication equipment including preventive maintenance and on-demand/emergency basis
    • Provide multi-disciplined capability in troubleshooting, diagnose and repair malfunctions on a wide variety electro-mechanical equipment
    • Troubleshoot, repair, service and inspect overhead cranes
    • Must have a good working knowledge of AC and DC motor controls
    • Must be capable of installing and troubleshooting variable frequency, variable voltage drives
    • Skills in installing rigid conduit, pulling and terminating wires required
    • Interface as needed with outside vendors
    • Assist in the development and recommend updates as needed for maintenance procedures and best methods
    • Provide communication to management as appropriate by following proper escalation procedures
    • Perform preventive maintenance tasks for equipment and facility in accordance with manufacturer’s and/or engineering guidelines
    • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer’s documentation
    • Recommend methods or training to continuously improve maintenance performance
    • Availability to work weekends, overtime and holidays as urgent business needs require
    • Maintain a safe and clean work area
    • Maintenance and repair of all fabrication equipment, including but not limited to: welders, grinders, electrical hand tools, etc.
    • Follow safety rules and procedures
    • Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed and assigned such as office refurbishment, electrical, basic plumbing, basic carpentry, etc.

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to lift at least 50 lbs. unassisted and work in extreme weather conditions.
