    A leading North Carolina based company offering Engineering, Fabrication, Construction, and
    Maintenance/Industrial services is searching for a Fabrication Shop Quality Control Inspector. This job entails overall responsibility for fabrication inspection, documentation, and testing as required per our Quality Control program.

    Responsibilities

    • Review of specifications and drawings
      Producing and tracking of all documentation from the beginning of a job to the end
      Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to
      purchase order, specifications and required Codes such as API, ASME, etc.
      Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using
      measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers and lasers
      Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications,
      inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes,
      formulas, or measuring instruments required
      Record and compile extensive inspection or test data, such as temperatures, material
      grades, pressure test results, moisture content, qualified welder list, etc.
      Be able to set up and maintain a good relationship with the Customer and its inspectors,
      Third party inspectors and the Authorized Inspector
      Accept or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications
      Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs
      See colors such as red and green (Eye exam for color blindness)

      Be willing to go to training such as UT training, CWI (Certified Welding Inspector),
      Boroscope training, etc.
      Other duties as assigned
      Be willing to travel as needed
      Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English at all levels of
      the organization
      Maintain regular attendance and timeliness on a consistent basis.
      Conduct business and interactions with a positive attitude that projects the highest level
      of professionalism

    Qualifications

    UT Level II / Inspector Required (Shear Wave and / or Phased Array)

    CWI is a plus, VT level II is a plus.

    Knowledge of ASME, API fabrication a must.
